The Chevy Silverado 1500 is a supremely powerful full-sized truck that boasts a long list of engine options, extensive trim options, and a long list of interior features. The new Chevy Silverado offers Raleigh drivers five engines, eight trim levels, and a long list of comfort and convenience features. The full trim lineup includes the Work Truck, Custom, Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, and High Country.

Performance

Raleigh drivers can look forward to five engine options, with the base engine being a 4.3-liter V6. The base 4.3-liter V6 makes 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque. If more power is needed, then a 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine makes 310 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque. Sitting in the middle of the engine lineup is a 5.3-liter V8 that makes 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The Chevy Silverado 1500 also offers up a single diesel engine, which takes the form of a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel inline-6 (277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque). The most powerful engine available with the Silverado 1500 is a 6.2-liter V8 that produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The Chevy Silverado is available with three transmissions: a 6-speed automatic, an 8-speed automatic, and a 10-speed automatic.

The base trim comes outfitted with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android, and cloth-trimmed seats. The Chevy Silverado 1500 LT trim adds in single-zone automatic climate control and an upgraded driver information display while the RST adds remote start, automatic locking rear differential, and USB ports in the second row. The High Country trim (which is the top-level) incudes heated/ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a Bose 7-speaker audio system, and side steps.
