The mission is to provide a special kind of honor for the sacrifices of America's WWII veterans. Our heroes are flown to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials created in their honor.

Top priority is given to the Triangle's senior veterans, those who served in World War II. The veterans do not pay for this activity - it is absolutely free. The hope is to raise enough money to launch sufficient flights to Washington until all WWII veterans have had the opportunity. Click on the picture for more information.

The Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is an official activity of the U.S. Marine Corps and an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve. The Toys for Tots program was established to be a community action program dedicated to providing Christmas toys to needy children throughout the nation. Toys for Tots began in 1947 in Los Angeles and was expanded nationwide in 1948. Successful campaigns have been conducted each year thereafter and now occur in more than 400 communities nationwide. Today, Toys for Tots is the marine Corps' premier community outreach action program and plays an important role in the Commandan'ts Community Outreach Program.

Sir Walter Chevrolet is accepting new, unopened, and unwrapped toys until
December 16, 2011.
